Branford Social Services provides limited financial assistance for people who do not have sufficient resources to meet their living expenses and people who cannot get immediate financial help.
The Branford Counseling & Community Services' Basic Needs Program was established to help provide temporary assistance to Branford residents who have insufficient resources to meet basic needs.
The program helps qualified individuals and families with:
- temporary rental assistance
- resolving energy shut-off notices
- emergency food and gas cards
- emergency shelter
- emergency fuel
The program receives over 3,500 calls per year, with less than 10% actually getting help due to the program’s financial restraints.
The Basic Needs Program is managed by Branford Counseling & Community Services' Social Services Coordinator, Mike Randi.
For more information, contact Mike Randi at (203) 488-5404 or Branford Counseling & Community Service at (203) 481-4248.
